The world is made of friends who enter through your door
Each one will touch you different as they stand upon your floor
Some will last a lifetime and some will last a day
The ones who matter most to you will help to pave the way
No matter where their homes may be the ones who count the most
Will always raise their glass up high when they offer up a toast
As they think about their dear good friends wherever they may be
Whether close to home, or down the street, or far across the sea
True friends need not be there in body but sometimes on your mind
Their hearts they are so true to you with intentions all so kind
Those ones you’ll want to cherish and always play a part
Fond memories they did paint for you as they touched upon your heart.
Always felt this way, so eloquently penned!
