Rise and Fall of a Tumbleweed

Tumbleweed Fence 2

Life begins with a breath of air
Striking the soul of a tumbleweed
A twig it may seem rolls away without care
No knowledge of being a seed

Across the ocean the journey begins
Not water but sand and stone
Some times it goes with others
While in others it goes alone

It rumbles and tumbles up in the air
And fumbles and stumbles to the ground
Jump to the sky as though on a stair
In search of itself to be found

Collecting and gathering as it goes
Slowing only to natures demands
Taking along both friends and foes
Mother Nature’s simple commands

The end is near but without a fear
For the seed is against a fence
A break on the way without shedding a tear
A moment without a stance.
