Journey Home

With shift all done we need to run
Our minds reach out under the sun
With bags of gold we fill the hold
Our journey home will now unfold

On down the long flat winding road
Bags stacked in back it’s quite a load
As a troop we move together
Silence weighed that of a feather

Wild horses ran while camels grazed
No change for them as none were phased
All heads like luggage they now dropped
Convoy did halt and out we popped

Up in the air we sit and stare
Beside ourselves, not in a pair
Silver bird it seemed forever
Toss and throw our main endeavor

Dive from the sky we swoop down low
Attack tarmac with quite a blow
Time opens up the door for fun
Life now begins, the trip’s all done.
